The sensation of Bloom 2011, Damian Costello’s garden for Focus Ireland 'A Place of Belonging' provoked a visceral emotional response in the thousands who visited.
The judges awarded the garden a Silver Gilt medal and the other designers at Bloom voted it the 'Designers Choice' – the ultimate accolade at Ireland’s biggest garden festival. The critics raved, praising the planting, concept and the unique mood he created for this evocation of the meaning of home.
